Project Impact ROI Calculator

This tool is designed to quickly model the potential financial and clinical return on investment (ROI) for quality improvement (QI) initiatives. Use it to forecast cost savings and validate the statistical significance of your projects.

Instructions:

  1. Select Cost Event: Choose a healthcare event (like CAUTI or CLABSI) from the dropdown. This automatically sets the Cost per Event.
     

  2. Define Intervention Cost: Select a pre-set scenario or choose Custom Input to use the detailed breakdown (Supplies, RN Wages, NPD Hours) to calculate your total project cost.
     

  3. Input Baseline Data: Enter your Baseline Events (annual count) and the Total Patients for both the Baseline and Intervention periods.
     

  4. Estimate Reduction: Enter your Expected Reduction Rate (%) based on your QI goal.
     

  5. Calculate: Click "Calculate ROI" to see instant results for Gross Savings, ROI %, and Statistical Significance.
